“About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John, and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray.” – Luke 9:28 NIV
Jesus models a life of investing in the few friendships that outlast all the others.
Like Peter, James, and John, we need friends who are willing to climb mountains with us!
We need friends who will get closer and go further with us than the crowd is willing to go.
We need friends to whom we can entrust our lives(1 John 3:16).
We need friends with whom we share special experiences.
We need friends who challenge us in our faith.
We need friends who pray with us and intercede for us.
Who are those friends/family members in your life?
Have you been investing the proper amount of time with them? Or have you spent too much time ministering to and investing in the crowds.
The reality is, few people receive a crowd of people willing to be by their side, on their deathbed.
Even those who do receive a crowd often desire for a smaller friend group to be close to in their final moments.
Let’s take the wisdom and spend time with those dearest to us, before the time we are given slips through our fingers.
Great post 😁
