- Jesus loves us and forgives us before we do anything worth deserving grace
- The Lord asks us to do the same to others
Applications
- Do you see people only by their problems or do you also see people by their potential?
- Do you accept the truth of God’s free gift of salvation through His Son’s blood? Do you accept you don’t have to work to earn your Heavenly Father’s promise of forgiveness?
- Who can you love today without expecting a return on that extra effort?
Prayer
Lord, help us to not buy into a false version of Your kingdom where giving is receiving.
Help us to understand giving is it’s own reward.
Help us see that we can take nothing from this life just as we came into life with nothing.
Help us to see the value in giving away freely what is truly Your’s to give in the first place. In Jesus Name, Amen.
